A Modest outlook as I take a Philosophical view into the realms of the nothing.

It is human for the mind to emit beyond the borders of possibility, we hope that one day we will be able to do and achieve great things that are beyond man’s capability of the present. That is why new inventions evolve every year, why there is a constant state of recycled information and technology, because the human mind hungers for an expansive state of feasibility. Acting in theatre and films prohibits one to have an ‘outer body experience’ become something/someone different; lead a different life as our metaphysical state longs for higher ambitions beyond our grounded power. Whereas theatre is trapped within the boundaries of this dimension of reality, film is free to roam within the surreal and delve deeper into the human state of desires for us to witness something fantastical. Movies are where we can reflect and hope that one day or in another life we can aspire to be these characters and live in their wonderfully perfect or excitingly thrilling worlds. It’s what draws us into stories of any format be it a movie, play, book or even a song. We become the omnipotent ego for the narratives, taking control and gratification of these little sub-realities we call film and use it to fantasise as we go beyond the borders of possibility. It is what makes us human. 07/09/2011 – 11:45pm
